Flowitt Architects were chosen for a project of a new house in Compton. To be built beside an old rectory, this four bedroom house is set to become the new rectory.
This project will also follow the Green Guide set by the Church of England for Parsonages. The green guide includes a design brief that, although doesn’t feature a blueprint, has a list of detailed recommendations to follow for the design and build of parsonages, such as the inclusion of a study for parsonage duties, and the separation of the public and private areas of the house in order to both welcome visitors, and ensure the privacy of the residents at the same time.
Set to be an environmentally friendly home, Flowitt has achieved level four according to the sustainable homes code for their design of this build.
